I have been a patient of Dr Stefanis for many years now. He never ceases to amaze me with his dedication and commitment and ability to communicate exactly what it is I need to know. He has an excellent way of explaining, in layman’s terms, all you need to know about your current condition and gives you a realistic expectation of timeline and the type of results that may be possible. I recently had a serious ski injury and felt quite discouraged…. he encouraged me and now I am starting to resume some normal activity albeit with a different style than in the past. His approach is gentle but with excellent outcomes. I trust him and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your Thursday running group. As you know, I have been to many running groups, but none like yours. With all of your extensive knowledge, education and experience, I am finally remarking on so many improvements in my running abilities, both mentally and physically AND… without injury! What a great cause for celebration! I have really taken to enjoy running on every level, and your teachings put in perspective the value of building strength, endurance, speed, WAH ect. All within the constraints of my own fitness abilities. Most importantly, I love that you take time to enjoy the beauty in nature and that you are not shy about giving God the glory in our group. Thank you for being a good role-model and SO respectable at what you do. I just wanted you to know this is ‘life changing.’ Others in our group have also voiced they feel the same way too. I would request you to please offer another group once this one finishes, as I would love to continue running with you to keep building and growing as an athlete.

I thought I would update you on my hamstring progress…..
After our last session, I have been doing what you said and I listen to my body probably more than I ever have. There has been carefull progress.
My leg no longer twinges or “bites” me,
I am now up to 10 km on my long days and on each of the other 5 or so days, I normally do 3-8 km.
After I slowly warm up… I can do 1000 running steps without needing to stop.. and I have used the
little running steps numerous times now up Kenwill or Rutherford to the top of the hill. Without being any worse for wear.
I will continue through the rest of the season in the same fashion – carefully progressive, listening to my body and running smart.
You have helped me a lot in many ways, not the least of which has been your encouragement.

I just wanted to thank you. I ran a sub 2:54 marathon in Victoria on Sunday and without your help and knowledge I don’t think it would have been possible. You gave me the mental edge that I needed to run that time. Your calm energy and great information is what I needed to put me over the top. Keep me posted with run clinics and group runs in the coming months as I am sure I will be looking to do the Vancouver in may. Thanks again talk to ya soon.

I wanted to let you know that since a saw you in mid December i have been following your directions. i cannot believe how much better my knees feel. Probably the best i have felt in a couple of years. i intend to keep going with these things for the long term. i want to thank you for putting me on the right path. i think i will be fine going forward.
